Blogging: The Power of Networking

Greetings! I want to share this important step in Blogging. And this step is networking. I used to think that blogging was simply just writing and putting it out there, but it’s not that easy. Yes, you can get readers from SEO ( search engine optimization), but that will only take you so far. It’s communicating with people on social media that can help give you that extra boost.

Releasing or advertising your blog post on multiple social media sites can give you much more exposure. So, it’s worth trying to accumulate a healthy following on all your social media sites. The more followers you have, the more exposure you have.

And of course, we can’t forget the readers you can get from fellow bloggers here on WordPress. We are all writers, but I’m assuming some of us are readers too! I know I am! I am always looking for interesting reads. But, I can’t discover your blog if your hidden away amongst the millions of other blogs! I have a few ways that will be helpful in getting you found.

  • Join in on WordPress challenges and activities. You can join other bloggers doing activities created by the WordPress site. WordPress give you links that you can attach to your post when doing activities so that other bloggers doing that activity can find you! I myself like doing the daily prompt. Here is a link to read more about it!๐Ÿ˜€

  • Bloggers here on WordPress know the struggle of finding readers, so we often help each other out with meet and greets! A blogger will host a meet and greet using thire blog and allow you to introduce yourself and leave your link in the comment section. Depending on how popular the host of the blog is, you could see hundreds of people leaving thire link on the hosts blog post. Bloggers find out about the event by other bloggers they follow reblogging the information. I don’t see many meet and greets anymore, and it’s unfortunate. I really suggest considering hosting one yourself. It can give you and everyone more exposure!
  • Simply ask your readers to reblog or share on social media. If you feel that you give out quality information, and you would like the message spread, then making that request is useful. There are a lot of readers who enjoy your work who wouldn’t mind sharing your post. Some readers simply just never gave sharing a thought, but would be more than happy if asked!๐Ÿ˜€
  • And lastly, don’t be afraid to team up with other bloggers. Ask bloggers if they would like to be a guest writer on your blog. Or you can even ask other bloggers if you can be a guest writer on thire blog. You can collaborate an interesting topic together. This will bring your readers to thire blog, and bring thire readers to your blog. This will also give your readers something new and interesting to read!

Okay, enough information for now! I hope you found this information useful. If you did, don’t be afraid to share it with friends! It’s Free and useful! See you in the next class! ๐Ÿ˜„

Success is yours!๐Ÿ˜„

Need More Readers? Get One Of The Most Powerful Strategies!

Greetings! Welcome to another class. Just to let you know, this class doesn’t have a specific schedule. As much as I would love to give you one, my busy schedule just doesn’t give me the time to give you a constant schedule. But, the good news is that I will try and give out as many post as I can per week! Now, this class will be about giving your readers quality content. Content that will be of use to them. As writers, a lot of us desire tons of eyeballs viewing our work, and we’re always wondering what strategies we can use to get more readers.

But all the strategies in the world won’t bring a lot of eyeballs unless you are giving something of value out to your readers. Finding out what your readers want can be a journey, but not a tremendously long one. One strategy is that you can simply think about what you would would be interested in if you were the reader. If you are writing something that you would get bored reading, then you can’t expect others to be interested either.

Also, another helpful step in finding out what your readers want is studying your number of views after writing a post. Each week go back and study what post got the most views and likes. You’ll eventually start to notice a pattern in what content people found most interesting.

Blogging is not merely about strategies in reader numbers, it’s about giving your audience great content that will have people coming back for more. Content that will inspire people to share it with their family and friends. You are offering a service no matter what your genre of blogging is. Let me give you some helpful examples!๐Ÿ˜€

If you have a blog talking about your daily life, then it’s important to make your blog relatable or interesting. Talking merely about yourself and your day can get boring. But, if you can talk about relatable struggles you have in your day, or talk about things that were funny, exciting, or out the ordinary, you will get way more interested readers.

If you have a blog about recipes, don’t give out recipes you can easily find in the hundreds on Google. Give out recipes that you put your special twist on!

If you have a blog with poems, give quality more than quantity. Take time out to give poems that come from your heart, or your deepest imagination. You want your readers emotions stirred when they read them.

Or, you can use me as an example. I’m not merely giving you information that I learned from other self-help blogging sites! I’m giving you information that I learned first hand myself. It’s unique in that I’m going to share in my personal victories and failures in blogging, and what I’ve learned. Not some get popular quick schemes!

Okay, I gave out more jewels for you students to ponder on today. The lesson today is to give out quality content. If you do that, your reader numbers will automatically increase!๐Ÿ˜€ Please feel free to share this information with other bloggers. It’s valuable FREE information, and sharing is caring! ๐Ÿ˜€

Success is yours!๐Ÿ˜„

The Power of being unique. Must have strategy!

Greetings! Welcome to another class! Come on and take a seat!๐Ÿ˜„ I want to talk about the most powerful tool you have as a blogger. And that is your uniqueness. The gift all human beings were given, right? No two of us are exactly the same.

So that mean you should be able to give out something unique in Blogging. I know the fear of getting lost in the crowd is something a lot of bloggers fear. It even prevent great writers from even starting a blog.

For example, Perhaps you have a passion for cooking. And you would love to share your recipes. But the thought of knowing there is thousands of recipe blogs in the world stop you from creating your blog. Well, let me tell you, your thoughts would be right. There is thousands of recipe blogs out there. And you can easily get lost in the crowd. So, that is why you want to sit and meditate on what you have to offer that many don’t. And the good news is that this is very possible to accomplish!

So for example, I love to bake, and I’m always looking for new recipes on line. If I want a chocolate chip cookie recipe, I’m usually attracted to the one that is the most appealing and unique.ย  Here are some examples of things that could make your chocolate chip cookie stand out:

  • Perhaps it’s an old family recipe.
  • You add a “secret” ingredient that take it to the next level.
  • Your cookies are made withย  unique health conscious ingredients.ย
  • Your recipes are more super simple, fast, and convenient.
  • You add a great twist of sense of humor to your recipes.ย
  • Your pictures are mouthwatering. ( A great picture as always drawn me in!๐Ÿ˜‰)ย

These are just a few examples of things that can make a food blogger stand out. And you can apply this logic to any niche that you’re in. Blogging is about having fun and being creative. Don’t be afraid to take chances and go out of the norm. Don’t let the constant thought of readers rejection stop you shining your inner essence. If your family and friends know you to be a goofball and silly, then let that shine through in your blog post. Don’t maintain your humor because you want to seem so sophisticated and professional like the rest. And now you are looking like this!

That’s your serious face.๐Ÿ˜„ Perhaps the laughter YOU bring is what readers actually enjoy!

Okay, class over, I’m getting ready to reveal too many secrets today! I hope this information was helpful! ๐Ÿ˜€

Success is yours!๐Ÿ˜„

Five Useful Tips For Finding Your Niche

Greetings! Now that I got my small introduction out the way from my last post, let’s finally get into it! I want to give you advise on finding your niche. Your niche is what your blog topic and genre will be. What you will specialize in. This step is very important to consider before you even start to begin blogging. The choice of your niche can be very challenging. If you are trying to make blogging your career, you will easily fall into the temptation of picking a genre that seem to be the most popular, or less taken up by other writers. And that can be a short-term solution to gaining readers, but your interest and spark for writing will eventually disappear.

And the quality of your blog post will start to go down. Your readers will take notice of that, and will start to leave. You definitely don’t want that; especially if you put a lot of time and effort into your blog. What you want to do is write about what you are most passionate about no matter how crowded or unpopular the genre is. Because if it’s something you are passionate and knowledgeable on, readers will sense that and be drawn to you.

Here are five useful tips in determining your genre:

  1. If you have multiple niches that you are interested in, narrow it down to one. Pick the one that you are the most knowledgeable and passionate about. I’ve noticed that I was way more successful when I just focused on one topic rather than combining numerous topics into one blog. This will help you gain a specific loyal fanbase.ย
  2. Pick a niche that you will never get bored with. If this blog is going to be your career choice, then you should count on having it for years to come. The last thing you want to do is invest years into one blog, just to start all over again with a new one. Trust me, I know!๐Ÿ˜‚
  3. Is it a topic that you can continuously give out fresh content? I myself have been guilty of recycling old material. After making so many post, you eventually feel like you’ve already told it all, and now you’re resorting to reposting old material, or talking about the same things over and over again. Your loyal readers won’t be fooled, and will get bored with you.ย ย
  4. Do you have something unique to offer? There are numerous people doing the same topic as you. Is there something you can do to make yourself stand out from the crowd? A great example would be Perhaps putting a twist to your recipes on your food blog.ย
  5. And finally number 5! Do you consider yourself the expert of your trade? Will you be able to show expertise and confidence in your writings? Even if you are passionate about something, it doesn’t mean that you know as much as you should. For example, you could have a passion for healing the sick, but you can’t properly give medical care until you go to medical school. So the more confidence and knowledge you hold in your niche, the more readers you will gain.ย

Using those five steps should have you on your way! But If you feel Vagueย about your niche, don’t panic. Take your time and create a blog as a test run. Talk about numerous things at first. I can’t guarantee you’ll have stable readers doing that, but you’re only using the blog as an experiment anyway. Keep writing and eventually you will find something you enjoy. And when you do, stick to it!

I hope you found this information useful and I’ll see you for the next class!๐Ÿ˜€

Success is yours!๐Ÿ˜„
